Working weekend.

Finally, a weekend without anything planned, so I can force myself to spend Saturday and Sunday in the studio. It isn’t too bad. If it wasn’t for the fact that I have been working on the same thing for almost a year now, spending time working in the studio would be the highlight of every day. It is hard to keep my mind in a positive state when the work I am doing has lost all my interest. I have to keep reminding myself that I do love my studio, and working on art, even if it isn’t new things all the time… and that once I am done I can go crazy with new ideas. Yesterday, Sethme spent the day in the studio with me. He has been studying for his new job, reading manuals for programs and doing tutorials. I think once I am done with this commission I want to get back to exploring and learning more myself. Right now, if i even sit down to read an article, I can’t stop thinking of the things I HAVE to do instead.

Yesterday was very sunny and beautiful outside. Today is rather dreary. Once Sam gets back from church I think her and Sethme are both going to bring there laptops to the studio and work with me. I am hoping it will feel cozy and nest-like and we will all be good workers. ALSO today is Sunday… which means DOUGHNUT DAY… yay … and a morning watching Sunday Morning on CBS.
