Happy Saturday
It has been a very long week. Sethme started his new job. Everything went well, and now he can enjoy it more without the beginning anxiety. However, he has a bad cold and isn’t able to take full advantage of our 3 day weekend… and goodness its a lovely one so far. I think it may be the nicest day yet this spring. It actually made me get off my bum and go for a run at the park. It is about time I start getting back to some sort of running routine. If this weather keeps up it won’t be hard! Speaking of running, check out my new kicks…
I have wanted KangarOOS for a very very long time. I could never find ones that had colors I was in love with at a store. For some reason I didn’t want to just buy some online. I think it was the hunt for the right ones that I needed to make them at great as I hoped. Green is what I have wanted, but was too afraid of anything over the top. The brown is what keeps them from being uncomfortably flashy. YAY for a small life goal accomplished!
I am not sure if it is because Seth is sick and I feel an urge to nurture, or if its the amazing weather and open windows and breeze, but I woke up this morning with the need to bake. I am glad I did because this was the result…
The best whole wheat muffins I have ever made… Mimi’s Giant Whole wheat Banana Strawberry Muffins. I had strawberries in the fridge and knew I didn’t want something incredibly sweet so I started searching online. They are made with whole wheat flour so I was a little weary at first. In the past most things I make with only whole wheat flour tends to be very dense and heavy. These, turned out fluffier than i expected and just sweet enough. I did make a few changes, I only put 1tsp. cinnamon and added a little ginger. Mmmmmm…
After taking a morning to bake and run, I have to start working on posters. Have a lovely evening.

Nice kicks…I’m glad I was there to witness the amazing finding of the roos
