I am still here…

I think I can finally take a nap.

So many things have happened since I last wrote…which is why I haven’t written :) First, I took Thursday, Friday and this past Monday off of work to try and finish posters. I worked continuously for 5 days…. and I got them DONE! Well, the 3o I was commissioned for are done. Now I just have a couple for myself and the art director, but I am not counting those.  DONE DONE DONE!!!! *super long sigh of relief*

Second, Sam has moved out. She found a very cute apartment above a store in downtown Perrysburg. I am very excited for her, but sad for her to go. But now we can have fun visits and hang about downtown. The apartment here is rather empty now, Seth and I are not quite used to her not being here and there is barely any stuff left. Seth and I are thinking we have to take a trip to IKEA soon.

Possibly in an effort to fill Sam’s void, but mostly because we have been thinking about it for a long time, Seth and I have adopted a new family member. Meet Oliver Teagan Toulouse…

Hi, my name is Oliver.

Teagan was the name Planned Pethood had given him, Toulouse is from The Aristocats, and we just liked Oliver. Rowan’s full name is Rowan Penelope Watson. Penelope Watson was the name that had been given to her before I had adopted her.

Kitten affection

He is about 10 weeks old and is a polydactyl cat. He has 6 toes on each of his front paws which makes him look like hes wearing tiny furry mittens. It is a little hard to get him to stay still so i could get a good picture of them. Rowan has been getting used to him slowly. At first, she wouldn’t come out from under the bed. Now she loves to watch him and hiss when he comes close. She loves to follow him a bit until he chases her down the hallway.  I think she is just trying to act tough because she thinks she should, but really likes the entertainment.

Last night, Seth and I went to a MudHens game in Toledo. I had free tickets from work. They won and it was really fun and something different. We showed up on the big screen once because the girls behind us were dancing :)   We stayed for the after game fireworks too, and then watched as a ton of boyscouts were shuffled onto the field with tents and supplies for a camp out. They all looked SO excited. Before the game we went to an open studio of the husband of a woman Seth works with.  The studios were AWESOME and I found out they aren’t much more than the one I have now. I am thinking about switching. The atmosphere is more conducive to meeting other artists and being more involved in the Toledo art community, something I don’t have where I am now. Plus, the bridge and fire escape on the outside of the building look right into the MudHens field!  I am going to try and look into it more soon.

I think everything is now up to date. Today we plan on making some salsa’s and heading over to Tyson and Jesse’s with Seth and Tyson’s parents for a Father’s Day get together. First though, his parents are dropping off Seth’s microwave and their old entertainment center… YAY for apartment organizing!

Happy Daddy’s Day Dadoo :)

I Love You
