Snow Day

smoodio

Still snowing! Sethme and I have decided to take the day off and bundle ourselves inside for the day. I knew that I was going to stay home for sanity purposes. The mind numbing monotony and enclosed building I work in during day light hours has taken it’s toll. Sethme however, planned on working. We bundled and headed outside so I could drive him to work, scraped the car, and had a first attempt at backing my little car out of the tiny parking lot. That is when we decided to work from home. Work is for chumps!

I am forcing myself to paint.  I need to get past this evil slump of self doubt and inability.  Appreciating circumstances and occurrences is also being forced… but paying off.

My amaryllis is blooming!

Also, Muca wanted to say thank you for the gloriously clean cage…

    Hi Beca,

The photography is awesome, you really have an eye. I love the ice pictures.

Kinda makes me think of the megaliths in the UK and Ireland. Very sculptural.

I had redesigned my blog and it really slowed my painting. :( Hoping to work the brushes tonight.

I hope you had an inspiring and productive day to.

Those pictures of the chunks of ice sticking out of the snow look exactly like what J and I used to do. Every winter when mom and dad drove up and down the driveway and we didn’t want to shovel but finally had to, it was really think snow/ice. We cut in into chunks (as best we could with shovels anyways) and lined the driveway with the icy shards.

    Love it, very nostalgic.

Isn’t it weird for creative types go through that whole self-doubt, slumpy period here and there? I definitely do and like you, I am changing that! Thank goodness for this lovely blog community…it inspires me get at it!

Cannot wait to see what you’re painting! Oh, and I love Muca! Happy Thursday!
