Best Weekend EVER

The past week has been wonderful. I spent Thursday and Friday preparing for the reception with my Ma. I loved having her here in my world for awhile, (but I will probably not bake any form of cake for a long time.) Friday night, friends started arriving. The best part of the entire weekend was seeing people who we aren’t able to see as much as we  would like. I met baby Rowan for the first time, and Rowan got to meet my baby Rowan. Then it was Saturday, which I never thought would come. Everything came together. Friends and family made the lodge beautiful and were so uplifting and excited to help. Steven and Christi came early to take pictures with us in the woods. I am VERY grateful that they agreed to take photos because I had to ask them at the last minute. We can’t wait to see the pictures. There was sooooo much food. The caterer, JB’s Sarnie Shoppe at Levis Commons did an amazing job.  They have the best sandwiches, and they even constructed us a pickle tree!  Lots of food, family, friends, cider, a keg of Sam Adams Octoberfest, cake, candy, fun music, games of corn-hole, Rock-Band,  and ending the night wearing a sweater over my dress with jeans and Roos. It was a good day. a very good day.

Sunday ended up being  just as fun. We spent the day with friends who came from out of town. We brought the corn-hole set down the the park by the river and had a tournament. Then Seth and Didier brought down some of the extra sandwiches and salads and we had a picnic in the grass. Next we brought the kayaks down to the river and everyone took turns trying them. After everyone rowed across the river and back, we sat around the studio and carved pumpkins and attempted to finish the rest of the keg (we were NOT successful). Yesterday we picked up some doughnuts at the bakery and hung around at Sam’s till we had to say goodbye to everyone. Even though its been an eventful weekend and it would be nice to sit and rest, i would rather have everyone stay and be lazy with us. Seth and I will have to start planning trips to visit everyone. It was nice to come back home and look at all the pictures from the weekend and have a row of creatively carved pumpkins sitting in the studio.

Thank you thank you thank you EVERYONE for celebrating along with Seth and I. Our marriage is more special because we have people like you to love and share it with.
