Summer Craziness

Since the beginning of June, time has been set on fast forward. So many things have been happening, and the weeks disappear. It seemed like the 25th would never come. Finally it did… we are married! YAY!

It was an amazing and extremely fun day. Family and friends and food, oh my! It was followed by an extremely fun weekend. Friday was spent at the quarry in BG, laying in the sun and swimming with fishies. We celebrated Sam’s 25th birthday on Saturday with a keg, playing of corn-hole, cake, leftover wedding tacos, and friends. Carrie was here from Chicago and Jean from Pittsburgh. It has been a long time since we have all been together. As usual Sunday was spent recovering with a big breakfast and laying around.

Today we spent the evening at Tyson and Jessie’s annual 4th (3rd) of July party to watch the Maumee fireworks. Once again, fun, food, friends and family…. and fireworks. This seems to be a special holiday for Seth and I. Both this year and last year, this weekend has seemed like a benchmark. We get a sense of us, and all the time we have spent together is put into a wonderful perspective.

We have our marriage license. Craziness! I can’t believe they are going to let us amalgamate our absurdity *mwaaahaaha*

Other good news… my cappuccino machine is working again. This helps minimize the insanity.

I have been trying to convince myself that I need to start ‘a drawing a day’ but Ive only been able to accomplish ‘a drawing every once and awhile.’ This Tuesday drawing was rather quick and was easier to accomplish than the squirrel. My attention span isn’t what it should be. My aid for Sunday’s drawing was beer. My aid for today’s drawing was working out extra hard on Monday, leaving me tired and not wanting to move around at all.

Also, more good news. Jean is coming up a day early next weekend to celebrate the wedding. SUPER excited!

In less than two weeks I will marry this man.
I felt lucky to meet him a year and 8 months ago, after having been in many circumstances with mutual friends and in the same places, without actually crossing paths. I was privileged when he wanted to spend time with me, working on artwork, running, sewing, talking, and being my friend. I am honored that he loves me and allows me to love him.
In less than two weeks I will marry my best friend.

In the time I have known you Seth, we have had so much fun and have done it with so much love. I am lucky, privileged and honored that I will be your wife.

Come on friend, lets do this!

Weekend Happenings

The past few weekends have been spent with family and friends. Last weekend we visited my parents in Lexington. Spent the day hanging around with the pups, and walking around Kingwood Center. We bought a hot and spicey oregano plant, and almost stepped on a peacock. This weekend Seth’s friends from San Francisco came in to town. Seth and Didier spent time doing computery things, and I was able to get to know Rachel. Saturday we all went to Seth’s parents house for a party, and was able to watch the newborn alpaca, Party Girl, take its first steps. Yesterday we took a trip to BG, walked around campus, and ate lunch at Easy Street. It has been a very eventful spring.
